The notes from 500 to 20,000 «strong» bolívares, dated 18 August 2016, were five to two hundred times the former highest denomination. They received no new design: the large notes repeated the figures and animals of the 2007 series.
The 2,000 bolívares repeats the design of the 10: the cacique Guaicaipuro on the front and a harpy eagle against the Ucaima Falls and the Venado and Kurún tepuis on the back.
The «strong» bolívar lasted ten years: on 20 August 2018 it was replaced by the «sovereign» bolívar at 100,000 to 1.
The harpy eagle and tepuis on a note two hundred times the original ten make a striking piece for both a birds-of-prey set and a history of Venezuelan inflation. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
The VPcoins catalogue includes both modern polymer issues and banknotes of past eras.
